10 Ways to Boost Your Self-Esteem

Self-esteem is the backbone of a person's success. It is a quality which helps you realize your potential and worth so that you always work towards harnessing your full potential. When you start doubting your own worth, you can become a victim to serious problems such as depression. A person who is depressed has no willingness or motivation to live and can, therefore, develop suicidal thoughts in his mind.
Hence, it is very important to boost your self-esteem. When you know your worth, it helps you achieve bigger things in your life than you ever imagined. If you thought you could build your self-esteem by mental tricks and visualization techniques, you are mistaken.
James T Canmore, in his book, "Hole in the Soul to Supercharged Spirit" explains that your mind can never heal your soul; instead, it is your soul that heals your mind. The 10 practical self-esteem boosting tips mentioned in this book are:
  • Be nice to yourself
Never be too harsh on yourself and don't always try to find the negative aspects of things that you do. Give yourself a pat on your back for any good job that you do.
  • Look after your physical body
Your soul and mind can be healthy only when your body is healthy. Therefore, never neglect your health at any cost. Eat the right foods at the right time, get enough exercise and remain fit & healthy.
  • Take regular stock of your strengths and weaknesses
You should know what you are good at and what you can improve upon if you want to realize your potential. Develop your strengths while you spend additional time and effort to work on your weaknesses and bridge the gaps there as well.
  • Surround yourself with positive people
Ensure that the group of people you are hanging out with is full of positivity and happiness. Their positivity can rub on you as well.
  • Be a supportive friend to others
Listening is a skill and not everyone is a master of it. You can improve your self-esteem considerably by just being there for your friend and lending him a listening ear.
  • Take care of your appearance
You should spend enough time and effort on your personal grooming because how you look plays an important role in how you feel mentally & physically as well.
  • Do something nice for someone else
The feeling of helping others is priceless. Do whatever you can to make others happy. It will make you feel good about yourself.
  • List your accomplishments daily
Make a note of your achievements on a daily basis so that you know where you stand. It can boost your morale significantly.
  • List and follow your passions in life
Write down all your passions and make some time to follow them whenever you can so that you feel like you are adding meaning and value to your life.
  • Be true to yourself
None of these above tips will work if you aren't honest to yourself. Set reasonable targets and appreciate yourself when you meet them.

A Success Formula

As a world athlete, I have been asked how I did it. In a nutshell, I worked at it. I am not any more talented than any one of the people I coach; I just could focus my attention for longer periods of time. This comes in real handy when training and being able to stick with a program.
I do have a curious nature and an inquiring mind which led me to wonder just how good I could get at my sport. Turns out that by using The Formula For Success in the book "Quantum Rules" and paddling... a lot... I did get good enough!
The first things I did was create a strong vision of my future self in a reality I was willing to work towards. I then set goals and worked the formula in a steadfast process. Today I share this process and MY understanding of how we use energy to reach our goals.
In Quantum physics there is the idea of many future realities one can choose. All these realities exist but the ones that get and keep our attention are the ones we bring into our focus. When we understand this we can direct our thoughts to create our reality and our future selves existing in this reality. Sounds easy enough, right? But why is it that so many of us struggle with it? For me personally, it was when I understood the idea of quantum realities being a flow of my mental, physical, emotional and spiritual energy capacities that I was able to discipline and direct my own energy.
When energy is scattered it has no flow pattern and without flow, it does not have the momentum required to create a strong current or flow. The goal is to organize, coordinate and direct energy to create a strong current and flow pattern. It's easy to be busy and has tons of energy but it is when we use energy wisely that we get specific intended results.
If we take the example of our thoughts we can see how this can relate to our ability to bring about the reality we desire. It is the choice of thoughts that gets our attention. We know thoughts create, but it's when we know how they create we can become masters of intention! For example; if we choose our thoughts we are organizing them.
When we can coordinate these thoughts we create focus, and, focus and attention become a clear intention. The intention is a stronger currency of energy that just focus or attention on their own. This can be somewhat related to what Wayne Dyer referred to in his book "The Power of Intention".
Now, if we can direct our intention towards a specific outcome or goal, it becomes a pattern of flow that carries the energy of our minds into our future reality. We've all experienced this energy flow at times when we say, "go with the flow" or "It was electrifying" or "I was in the moment". It's that feeling when energy lines up and we are swept away in it. It is an awesome experience of being connected with something bigger than ourselves and feeling at one in it and with it.
I have heard many athletes describe this experience as "being in the zone". I have been on a dragon boat where all bodies are moving together in complete synchronicity making the boat feel like it's gliding on top of the water. These moments feel out of the body as our minds direct our movements with precision and accuracy making it almost effortless. It's magical, addictive and we all strive for it.
So how do we get it and how do we keep it? We work at it. Another component in The Formula For Success is hard work. It takes effort, practice and continued persistence to train the thoughts of the mind to move in this organized and coordinated path towards our goals. It is not rocket science but understanding the science of energy flow patterns may give you the key to managing your mindset and create the reality of your future self!
In closing, I hope I didn't offend the scientists of quantum physics and forgive me I did not relay these ideas accurately. It is my hope to offer some clarity for us regular folks who share the love of science and continue to do our best to use it in our mundane existence.

How to Start Investing Today With the Money You Spend Right Now

Many people enter a job market right after school and jump right into life feet first. Money comes in from a job, then goes right out to liabilities, food, entertainment... all necessities and pleasures in life. This is often called being stuck in a "rat race". Every month is the same thing... money comes in, money goes out. Once you're stuck in it, it's very difficult to get out. But not impossible.
Now, money you make in your job is dependent on your ability to perform a task or function and amount of time put into that task or function. Essentially, it is trading time for money utilizing a learned skill. But this can't possibly go on forever, can it? What happens when you get too old to perform these same tasks required for a job?
Unfortunately, for some people it goes on for a very long time. And when people who don't invest in things that will bring in income whether they work or not can't work any more, they don't have anything to help them live as comfortably as they are today.
Until most people get into a career job that offers good benefits (including a 401k), money is rarely put toward investments. Money is made and spent as fast as it's made, giving a person necessities and comforts of life at the time - and then some, but not allowing much for a prosperous future once job income stops.
Everyone at some point in their life must face the reality that a job is not going to give them everything they want or need in life - especially a life after retirement age. Investing is something best figured out early in life.
To understand how important investing is, you must first understand what investing is. An investment is a method of making money from a one-time effort. Sometimes this effort can be intense and take some time, but it can provide income for many years to come without having to put forth that same effort or time.
If you do a bunch of research to buy a house to use as an investment, you only have to do that research one time. Once you buy an investment, it will make money for you with very little effort. If you write a book and put it on a website to sell, you only had to write a book one time and it will make money for as long as it is active on the website or in a book store. If you research a company stock and find a perfect one, investing some money in it, money then starts doing work and making money without you having to do anything.
These are just simple investment examples that do take some effort. The point is that making money from investments is a lot easier than making money at a job if you know what you're doing. A huge difference between an investment and a job is how much time and effort someone has to put into making money. Cool thing about investing in the stock market (whether it be traditional buy/hold/sell trading, 401k investing, or options) is that you only have to learn how to do it once, keep repeating what you learned, and let each dollar you invest do all of the rest of the work for you so you can enjoy life as it was intended.
Of course there is one HUGE problem that everybody faces before they can invest. Where do you get money to use to make money? When living life in a "rat race", you eventually get caught up in an impossible circle that is very hard to get out of.
Don't worry!
You have money... you just don't know it yet!
There are ways to make a few changes in your life to start building up "capital" for investing - no matter what type of investing you are looking to start. It will be slow at first, but it will definitely morph into something you won't believe possible.
One way to build up investment capital fairly quickly is opening a "Round Up" Savings Account. This type of capital growing account actually helps you save and build money based on your every day purchases. You attach your checking accounts or credit cards that you spend money on to your Round Up account and for each purchase you make, this account rounds up to the nearest dollar and deposits that rounded up cash into an investment platform that helps your savings grow faster. Not much work, is it? This special investment account does the rest.
For example, if you spent $20.57 on something, it rounds that up to $21.00. The round up, or $0.43, is placed in your account which is divided among several stocks based on account settings.
If you make 50 purchases from your checking account in a month averaging $0.35 a round up, you will save $17.50 in that month. That's $210.00 in a year saved just by rounding up these purchases.
Money invested in this round up account goes up and down with stock market movement. At 5% gain in a year, it will go up by $10.50 more. And some stocks that your money is invested in earn dividends that are automatically reinvested into your account.
This doesn't sound like much, but over time, it will continue to grow. This is an investment in itself and can grow pretty fast if you are consistently adding to it. If you have extra money you'd like to save during a month, you can also make deposits to apply them to your account to grow your account even faster.
A Round Up Savings Account is simply a stepping stone to get you to a higher level of investing, which can be a stock trading, option trading, a retirement investment account, real estate, or anything else you can invest that money in to make more money.
Once you build up some good investment capital in your Round Up account, you can withdraw it whenever you want and use it to purchase assets (things that earn you money - unlike liabilities) or to invest in stocks to make even more money over time.

What's Your Secret Weapon Against Overwhelm? Your Time Energy

Isn't it wonderful when you're in the flow? Work is a breeze, and nothing fazes you. You stay clear and focused. Your alertness helps you respond to setbacks and surprises without being thrown off course.
But then, there are those other days... sometimes lots of them! You're so tired. You're cranky and feel caged in, and whenever you embark on a task, it feels like you need way more time than you have! (That's because when you're overwrought and out of sync, projects get snarled, taking you twice as long.)
What If You Possessed a Secret Weapon Against Overwhelm?
Imagine turning any "off" day into "on" day - moving in harmony with time and releasing overwhelm! You know deep in your heart that there must be something you can do - but what?
Well, I have developed an approach that I'd like to share with you. The good news is, you already have a secret weapon against overwhelm, and all you have to do is tap into it! It's like an electrical current, and I call it Time Energy™.
Time Energy - 5 Phenomenal Facts About Your Inner Powerhouse
When you realize just how groundbreaking this approach is, I believe you'll agree: Its potential is nothing short of life-changing!
1. This energy is all yours.
Time Energy is you, harnessing your power to make the most of your moments. It's refreshed and revitalized, like a rechargeable battery, by each resourceful and decisive time choice you make.
2. It is inexhaustible.
In the same way that you can't run out of wisdom, the flow of your Time Energy is never-ending.
3. It grows as you use it.
As with wisdom, the more frequently you draw on your Time Energy to empower yourself and make sound choices, the stronger it gets. What I call Time Energy is a constellation of disciplines, insights and strengths that evolve, broaden, and deepen as often as you use them. Do you see the potential?
4. This energy is about synergy.
Your Time Energy amplifies as you coordinate your skills, experience, and wisdom. Think of muscles that work in unison to power you forward. As you strengthen each muscle in relation to the others, your capacity grows exponentially! By bolstering each link, you create a sturdy chain. (And how you identify the spots in need of some firming up is a topic we'll explore down the road.)
5. Abundant energy requires abundance thinking.
When your energy deflates like a punctured beach ball, view that, not as a problem but as a cue! It tells you that you're temporarily locked into scarcity thinking. And the way out it to look within. With practice, you'll be able to simply say, "I choose Time Energy" like a mantra to quickly access your powerful and abundant inner reserves.
Notice how you feel whenever you're in the flow.
Welcome this energy like the good friend that it is.

Your Mind Is Your Greatest Power

So, let's try to explain why your mind is your greatest power. Everything in our universe, as well as all that appears stable in our physical world, is made up of vibrations of energy. Even our thoughts are created by these vibrating waves, and are the most dynamic and fluid substance in the entire cosmos.
Are you commanding your heart to beat right now? If no, what does? How does it influence you?
First, your thoughts are independent of the physical universe, and yet it interacts with it. What is amazing is that any thought that is repeated over and over in your conscious mind will then make an imprint into your subconscious.
And once this mark makes it into your unconscious mind, it is then used as a tuning tool and begins vibrating, and attracts to you the people, the circumstances, and the events that match the images that you have within. You have a real power to influence and direct the things that happen to you.
The Power to Influence
So, let me make a point before you think of me in disbelief. It is difficult for you to consider that you can do certain things, or are good enough, or successful or wealthy. Yet you believe the opposite to be true. Therefore, why would it be impossible for your mind to believe one way but not the other?
One of the beautiful things about the subconscious and its power is that it cannot tell the difference between what is real and what you imagine. So it means that you can program and imprint into it anything you want.
And so, experiments have been done about this where athletes mainly imagine practicing for a month and then do as well as those who did indeed practice. It resulted in their mind believing that they were good which improved their performance. Therefore, imagining an action or a state of being in your mind over and over again makes a profound imprint on your subconscious.
The Powerful Source Within
The Soviet Union used it on their athletes, I know, I was one of them. But what is even greater is that it goes beyond sport and can be used for finances, relationships, career, and self-healing. There are no areas of your life impossible when you work with mind power methods. It can be visualization, meditating, affirmations, attraction or creating new beliefs. You feel like you take control of your life.
Your thoughts are the most incredibly powerful source of nourishment and abundance. But nobody teaches us how to think. We learn to be positive or do the best we can. Well, I am sorry, but that is sad. Positive thinking is fundamental while mind power is a powerful tool at your disposal.
And the laws and methods can be readily understood by anyone. It is a real awakening once you realize that your thoughts influence your reality. If you do believe in mind power, you are ahead of millions of other individuals, because it still is pretty much a recent theory. Only a small percentage of the world believes in it, and half of those do not practice it daily or in the right way.
What Is Mind Power
Mind power is not just being positive; it is using ways to imprint beliefs and images, not only on a conscious level as it is with positive thinking but on an unconscious level. Once you imagine and live the stuff you want, again and again, you are attracting those things to you.
And there is no greater turning point in your life than to discover that you have a personal power, and that you are the master of your destiny. And all it takes is maybe fifteen minutes a day to transform your life if you are ready to practice daily.
But remember that it can work equally against you. The reason being is that your thoughts can also keep you in poverty, in sickness, or not succeed at your goals. In fact, it is one of the greatest tragedies of today. It is why most people are not getting ahead. Their mind power subconsciously attracts the wrong things in their lives. In truth, your thoughts are what is creating your reality.
Mind Power and Creativity
Creative people often generated inventions through ideas coming out of nowhere, but always when they took some time off. These things do not happen when you are too busy or working too hard. You must give yourself good quality time and honor yourself. So you need to take freedom days where you do not work at all.
And when you let go of everything, you give a time your creativity and intuition to get in touch with the abundance of thoughts and mind power you have at your disposition.
"Why do I always get my best ideas in the shower?" - Albert Einstein
So, even a small time away can make a difference. Today, I am a big believer in just taking time off once in a while to reflect, assess and evaluate things. If you attract the things that are at the same frequency you are when you are stressed or overworked, it won't do you any good.
Do Something You Love
You are a brilliant human machine with mind power! What I have realized is that all successful people I know made their fortune and met success in an area that they loved. Think for a second! Has anyone ever made a great deal of money by doing something that they don't enjoy?
I surely don't! Steve Jobs got into computers because he loved it and wanted to make a difference, not because he wanted to be rich. That is one of the secrets of success as well. So find something that you love to do. Not only are you going to be more successful at it but you are going to have more fun doing it.
Therefore, you win both ways. Yet, one of the maxims of mind power is that you must know what you want before you can get it. And you have to make sure that your goals are attached to a mission, purpose or reason, or it won't last.
The First Step to Mind Power
The beautiful thing about life is that we get to choose whatever goals we want. It is wonderful! When there is free will, everybody has the right to live their existence differently and have their definition of success.
As time goes by, and you examine your goals at times, you may find out that your motivations are not as accurate as you initially thought they would be. So, you do not want to end up climbing the ladder of success, only to find that it is up against the wrong wall. And that is why each of us, in due time, have a midlife crisis.
So, the first step to mind power and to changing your life is to pay attention to the thoughts inside your mind. And then direct them accordingly. Every day, you have thousands of thoughts. So when you realize that they influence, affect and help to create your reality, you must become very conscious of what you are thinking.
The Imprint of Wrong Beliefs
It works with any area of your life but let's take the example of money. What do you usually feel when you think about it? Is it that money is difficult to make? Do you believe that there are no good opportunities out there? Or is it that you seem never to have enough money?
And if these are the type of thoughts you think, then unfortunately what is happening is you are imprinting that reality into your subconscious. Just by your day to day worrying and concern about money, you imprint your unconscious with a scarcity consciousness. So once something is printed in your subconscious mind, it then begins to attract the people, circumstances, and events that match the images that you have within.
So you are blocking yourself in a never-ending experience of frustration on trying to get ahead financially. And it does not matter how many hours a day you work or the ideas you have. If your beliefs about money are limiting, then you are not going to manifest money.
The Key Aspect of Mind Power
Now, the opposite is equally valid. It is the beautiful thing about mind power. Repetition is one of the key aspects of getting things. Your subconscious will accept any thought or belief that you continually imprint. And the good news is that you can reprogram and imprint new prosperity beliefs.
So all you have to do is to repeat things over and over again, and believe it to be true. And what will happen is that day by day it will take an imprint, and it will change your beliefs about money. And as you turn your viewpoints around; your mind power begins to attract better situations to you.
Therefore, you need to pay attention to the flow of thoughts inside your mind. Take a look at those which are consistent with what you desire. If you don't have the right thoughts, then you need to redirect your mind to a new place of beliefs through mind power techniques. And develop a new prosperity consciousness.
The Second Step to Mind Power
The first prosperity belief is that it is an abundant universe. You have to recognize prosperity everywhere and to fill your mind with feeling, seeing, sensing and being surrounded by wealth. Get a coffee at the most expensive place you know and spend time there. Or look at your favorite car and sit in it, imagining you own it.
In fact, your mind power does not care about your gender, your spiritual faith, or the color of your skin. There are many people becoming millionaires in this world. They are not at all different than you. With prosperity beliefs, good ideas, initiative and finding your calling, there are no reasons why you cannot succeed.
So, you just need to find something that you feel good about. Even if you choose only to do what you love, you still have a vast number of opportunities to operate and be successful. Another belief is that it is your duty and responsibility to succeed as 'Uncle G' always says.
Honor Your Mind's Instinct
Therefore, you have to honor what is calling you because that is not only what is going to make you successful but also is your contribution to the world. You have to listen to that little call that tells you to move on. I don't say it will be easy or that you won't get a few sleepless nights over it until you make the decision.
However, if you honor your mind power instinct, it might the best decision you can ever make. If you follow what you love, you might touch more people's lives. So, you have to follow your bliss, or what makes you jump for joy. You can make a living doing something you don't like, but you will never be tremendously successful.
But the most fascinating, challenging and exciting is that by choosing your thoughts, you can direct and influence your actions. And you can create the vibrations of energy you need within you that will attract realities to you.
The Unlimited Power at Your Disposal
Mind power is very potent. You must realize that you have unlimited power at your disposal. So spend five to ten minutes a day contemplating, thinking and affirming the thoughts you want to yourself. Some days, you might be excited after this little exercise. But there will other times where that little voice comes in and says "Who are you kidding? You don't have unlimited power."
But the critical factor here is to do it every day. Never miss a day, whether it is exciting or annoying to do. Mind power needs repetition. And somewhere along the ninety-day period, as imprinting takes time, you will feel like an empowering conviction is taking over you. Sometime, it might take longer.
So, it is what makes the difference between positive thinking and mind power. The former is about "Think positive and positive things will happen to you." There is nothing wrong about that; I rather you think that way than negatively. But mind power is taking it a step beyond that.
Mind Power and Success
Mind power makes you define clearly what it is you want. Then through certain methods such as affirmations, visualization, imprinting, creating new beliefs, you add them through repetition. So the subconscious mind begins to pick up on it.
So, give yourself the right messages and do some work on it each day as it doesn't happen magically. Make a list of fifteen to twenty things that make you feel good and successful about who and what you are now. And the key here is 'Now.'
Yet, you often think about the goals you want to achieve. Things that you are going to do, or be or the changes you are going to make. It is alright to look at the future, but at the same time, you want to create a vibration of success now. Remember: success attracts more success.
Create Your Mind Power Now
Therefore, write down and make a list of things that make you feel like you have success now. Then spend five minutes each day going over it and as you read it, feel successful about who and what you are NOW. It can be simple things like "I am a great cook," I am a good friend," "I dress well," "I am smart," and more.
As a result, it will begin creating a success vibration now, so that this frequency attracts to it other future successes. It is a pretty simple and yet compelling technique. When you start your day this way, you begin it with a success vibration.
And as for visualization, it is imprinting into your subconscious the exact goal, seeing, feeling, tasting, and vibrating what you want to happen to you. But one of the tricks with visualizing is that you need to look at it as it is already happening now and not in the future.
So here you have it! Mind power is a powerful tool that each of us possesses. But you have to change your perspective on life, and be grateful. Thus now, enjoy your new ability by using it fully because, believe it or not, you have unlimited power at your disposal.

Yes You Become What You Think About

Indeed, you become what you think about. The human mind is the last great unexplored continent on earth. It contains untapped riches beyond your wildest dreams. And it returns anything you want to plant. But this brainpower is often unused because people take it for granted. Yet it is a free gift!
Why do so many of us often forget the free ability of our mind? How can you discover its concealed riches? And why your day-to-day thoughts are so important?
Well, let me explain why you become what you think about. Throughout history, the great wise men and teachers, philosophers and prophets have disagreed with one another on many different things. But it is only on one point that they are in unanimous and complete agreement.
They all agree that your thoughts make you. Therefore, you have to be mindful and burn into your nervous system the following belief because it is a fundamental truth of the human condition. It is literally the baseline physics of what it means to be a person.
"We become what we think about." - Earl Nightingale
Think About It
And that is an idea that you have to hold firmly in your mind. It is something that you really have to internalize. Stop right now your reading, or whatever you are doing on the side, and realize that you will become what you think about.
So, really think about that for a second as if it was not just a phrase, nor only words. But consider it as if it was the truth about how your brain works because it is. You are going to become the things that you think about.
If you truly are passionate and obsess about a certain result, you will certainly achieve it. But if, on the other hand, you do not care enough or are unsure, it won't happen. So, if you wish to be rich or anything else you want, you can be. But you must then really wish these things and want them exclusively.
Believing to Become
And you must not wish at the same time a dozen of other incompatible things just as strongly. Do you get what I am saying here? If you think about and want one thing but contradict yourself with some other stuff, it will not work. That is why some people realize their desire and others do not.
The great law, or law of attraction, briefly and simply states that if you think subconsciously in negative terms, you get negative results, even if what you want is positive things. But if you think in positive terms, you will achieve positive results. Yet, all of this takes time and consistency through your thoughts, actions, feelings, and beliefs.
In a few words: to succeed, you have to believe with all your being. It has to be undeniable and not, one day, have doubts and the next, not have them. If each day that passes, your thoughts and feelings swing just like a roller coaster ride, unsure of yourself; it will create a contradiction in your subconscious mind. And you always become what you think about!
The Power of your Mind
"Our doubts are traitors and make us lose the good we often might win by fearing to attempt." - William Shakespeare
Maybe, you are often dwelling on a lot of negative things. You might even carry a lot of baggage with you. As things might go wrong, you believe to the core of your being that you are just planning for the hard times. But the truth is that you are going to become those things that you fear and dread.
People always blame their circumstances for what they are. But you must not believe in such conditions. The people who succeed in this world are the ones who get up and look for the situations they want. And if they cannot find them, they create them in one way or another.
Well, it is then pretty apparent that your mind holds great power. And every person who discovered this and believed it became successful. So, no matter which way you put it, you become what you think about.
Think About Your Goal
Now, it stands to reason that if you are undoubtedly thinking about a concrete and worthwhile goal, you are going to reach it. The reason is that it is what you think about with an obsession beyond measure becomes real. The individual that spends all his time being passionate about something will surely succeed rather than the one who spends an average time on it.
And if you think about all the things you have done wrong in the past, you are going to simply continue that cycle. But if on the other hand and let this be true by letting it ring in your ears. If I ever added an ounce of value to you, believe then that these are the most important words I am ever going to say:
If you begin to focus your thoughts on positive things, on your capabilities, on the potential that you have if you really dig in, you can make it. Build those skills. Visualize your success. Strive towards something beautiful, amazing, that leaves in awe, which you want to create, and want to be the vessel for.
Become What You Think About
In that way, you become that thing because you will take those steps, just because it is what you think about. Conversely, the person who puts very little enthusiasm in his goal, or has no objective, or does not know where he is going, and whose thoughts must, therefore, be thoughts of confusion, anxiety, fear and worry become what he thinks about.
So, his life becomes one of frustration, stress, distress, and worry. And if a person thinks about nothing, he becomes nothing. It is simple as that! Now you might say: "Well, if that is true, why people do not use their mind more often?" I believe they often figure out an answer by making excuses.
"20 years from now, you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than the ones you did." - Mark Twain
The Paradox of Free Gift
Your mind comes as standard equipment at birth. There is no price to pay as it is a free gift. And so, these things which are given to you for nothing, you very often place little value on. On the other hand, things that you pay money for, like your phone, you value.
The paradox is that exactly the reverse is true. Think about it! Everything that is really worthwhile in life came to you free. Your mind, soul, body, hopes, dreams, ambitions, intelligence, family, children, friends, country, and nature are priceless possessions which are free.
As for the things that cost you money, they are actually very cheap in comparison. They can be replaced at any time. A good person can be completely wiped out and make another fortune. It can be done several times. Even if a home burns down, you can rebuild it.
But the things you got for nothing, you can never replace. And as the saying goes: "Familiarity breeds contempt." So, your thoughts determine your existence and any kind of job you assign to it. But generally speaking, most people use their mind for little jobs instead of big important ones.
Picture What You Want to Become
And so, if you do not take the necessary steps, focus on the required things, manifest what you want to become or believe in it, nothing will happen. And if you cannot see how real it could be, if you cannot picture the version of yourself that you want to become, it will not take place.
And yes, people told you that it is not possible for you, that the things that you did in the past are never going to allow you to succeed. They even said that you are not smart enough. But if you let that creep into your mind, that is what is going to happen.
However, if you can think about it, see that vision of success, allow yourself to believe it, and take the steps you need to execute against struggle, and if you go out there and do those things, you will not regret it. But you will regret it if you do not.
So, decide now. Think about what you want to achieve. Plant your goal in your mind. It is the most important decision you will ever make in your entire life since you become what you think about. Get out right now, and build the person you want to be, so you can have the life you want to have.

Never Quit, Persistence Is The Way

Persistence attracts opportunity, with those three words, I begin this article. Sure, when you are exasperated, early quitting always sounds good, especially when it all gets "bloody" or hard. When you are tired, some of the greatest successes come after the next wind. I will not say "second wind", because it sometimes takes multiple streams of persistence to succeed, and not any streams of persistence, and just one try without trying again to genuinely fail.
The greatest quitter in the world is never known, because all quitters quit before they succeed or "make it". Rest assured, though, the greatest successes in the world are the ultimate seeming "failures in the beginning". From Gautama Buddha who spent seventy years "going crazy" trying to figure it all out from suffering in the world itself to the "biggest why things in the world" under the Bodhi Tree, to Jesus Christ who "ended" his ministry with assassination by Crucifixion, only to come back in an even better form ultimately, and have one of the greatest mass ministries on Earth bigger than anything else going on Earth. So, what is the greatest persistence in the world? It is one of us if we do not genuinely quit too early.
The only thing that separated Alexander Graham Bell and the rest of the inventors of the telephone, was this, persistence and a simple turn of a screw connecting a wire, also an understanding of vibration and consistency that matched nothing else going. Alexander Graham Bell understood vibration and consistency (knowing it would take a constant and not intermittent current to transmit speech over electrical wires), although it seemed simple, that turn of the screw was the difference between intermittent inconsistency and consistently and productively working, and what stemmed form all of this to full fruition?: Oh, just cell phones, every communication medium on the planet including radio and wireless gadgets like that we use every day. Even though Lewis Latimer really invented, drew and patented the light bulb, and not Edison technically, I genuinely give credit where credit is due and warranted, whatever the realistic consequences. This is what separates Christianity from the other religions in a sense when Jesus Christ said the simply logical statement: "Render unto Caesar what is the property of Caesar, and render unto God genuinely what is the property of God." in the New Testament Biblical Books of Matthew and Mark.
My point and synopsis is as follows, then I will end this article: To live in reality whatever the consequences is success. To follow through with a genuine path is success in every way. That is the synopsis. Success is guts, persistence and genuinely good work and little else. That is the point, take what you need from that, and make it work for you. Thank you for reading.

The Law Of Attraction - Is This The Whole Story?

You may well have heard of the Law of Attraction, a concept that infers that like attracts like. But what does this mean? For me, it means that if you wholeheartedly want something (and you do something about manifesting it) chances are that you'll get it.
But does the concept really work?
As a Life Coach I am hot on forward thinking and working towards what I call 'ideals'. An ideal is simply something positive that you want to see happen - it's a vision, a mission, a purpose, a goal.
A number of years ago I compiled one sheet of paper that contained my overall life purpose, my vision, my goals and a list of projects stemming from those goals. Everything I wrote down came from deep within me, and had been an integral part of me for years.
I have been looking at that sheet of paper almost daily since compiling it without thinking too much about how the things on the sheet were going to manifest.
The reason why I refer to the sheet so often is simply because it makes me feel good. It directs me and stirs me in a positive way. In short, it represents everything I want to manifest in my life.
More recently I attended a meeting with some colleagues and we talked about developing an enterprise. As the discussions went on I realized that much of what we were talking about resembled what was on my sheet.
On returning home I looked at the sheet and laughed. Practically everything I'd written down was covered in the meeting. This happened not because I was pushing my own agenda. It happened naturally because we were all of the same mindset with similar aspirations and wanting to achieve similar life and business goals... like attracting like.
I've now realized that everything I've aspired to may come to fruition by default if our enterprise is successful.
So does this concept of attraction really work? Yes I think so!
Now you could say that nothing I've put out there has yet come to fruition. This is true. However, the meeting showed me that things are already beginning to shift.
If I hadn't produced this sheet I doubt whether the conversation in that meeting would have gone the same way. I may well have been more easily led by the others around the table, because I would have had no real perspective of my own.
By clearly articulating my purpose, vision, goals and projects, and referring to them on a daily basis, my subconscious mind is already recognizing opportunities that will help to make these a reality. That meeting (and the subsequent enterprise idea) is one of those opportunities.
I do believe, however, that there are certain caveats to the concept:
Windows of Opportunity
Once you've clearly and specifically established where you want to go, windows of opportunity begin to open for you. It is for you to grab those opportunities and immediately take the action necessary to achieve your goals. Otherwise, those windows eventually close and the opportunity is lost.
Letting Go
I also believe an important element is that you let go of the outcome. Be OK with achieving your goals and aspirations, and with not achieving them. This is because, in my view, becoming desperate about your achievements pushes them away. Becoming more relaxed about them increases the chances of you achieving them. For me it's also about recognizing that your aspirations may not always manifest in the way you envision them - and being OK with this.
Giving It Time
I also think it's important to give yourself the time you need to manifest your ideal. Specific timeframes focus and galvanise you into action. However if those timeframes are unrealistic they could have the opposite effect. You may feel that if you've not reached your goal within the timeframe you've set yourself that you've somehow failed.
Allowing yourself the time to mature with your vision and grow to become the kind of person who can make it happen may well increase the chances of you succeeding.
So yes I believe the law of attraction works if:
· You're clear and specific about precisely what you want
· You focus daily on what you want
· You take full advantage of the opportunities that show up and do the work that's necessary
· You let go of the desperation and...
· You give it time

Anxiety: What Causes Anxiety?

If someone has anxiety problems, they may have a strong need to find a way to change their life. Then again, they could simply tolerate what is taking place and do the best that they can to keep it together.
Undoubtedly, it is going to be far better if someone has a strong need to change their life. Naturally, they are far more likely to find the assistance that they need if they are this way.
Their Experience
Anxiety has been described as fear spread thinly, which means that it is not the same as fear. Even so, that doesn't mean that one won't experience fear if they have anxiety problems.
When one experiences anxiety, they are unlikely to be rooted in their body and they will feel on edge. Therefore, although they will have a body that supports them, it could be as though they have no foundations.
A Lot Going On
In addition to feeling on edge, there can be all of the thoughts that race around their mind and the different sensations that they experience. When it comes to their thoughts, they might not have many supportive thoughts.
Alternatively, their mind could just go blank during this time. As for the sensations that they experience, their stomach and chest could feel tight, causing their breath to be very shallow.
One Step Further
If one experiences a lot of anxiety, they could have what is often described as an 'anxiety attack'. It might be hard for them to breath, their heart rate could rapidly increase, they could start to sweat and tremble, and they could end up feeling sick or dizzy.
This experience is then going to be very different to the other type of anxiety, although that is not to downplay the other type. Along with what could be classed as the two extremes, there is another type, where one is always in a state of mild anxiety.
Under The Radar
Their heart rate could speed up and they could hold their breath from time to time, but in general, they might not even realise that they are anxious. Thanks to how subtle it is, it might have taken them a while to figure out what is going on.
They are going to experience adrenalin and to be stuck in survival mode, but it won't be so extreme that they can't handle life. On the other hand, if one has one is more or less always in a state of extreme anxiety and/or has anxiety attacks on a regular basis; it will most likely be a different story.
One Big Challenge
If they have a job or a vocation, it could be hard for them to handle the work that they have and to be around others. It could even be so bad that they have had to leave where they work.
Socialising and spending time in public places could also be something that is generally too much of them to handle. When it comes to the end of the day, it could be very hard for them to get to sleep.
A Closer Look
The big question on their mind is going to be: why are they experiencing life in this way? It would be good if anxiety was caused by one thing as this would mean that it wouldn't take long to find a solution.
However, even though there is not one cause, it doesn't mean this is something that is widely understood. As a result of this, one could end up believing that there is and try a certain approach that might only change their life for a little while.
Number One
One thing that may be causing them to experience life in this way is the fact that they are carrying trauma. This could relate to an experience or a number of experiences that that they had as an adult or as a child, that overwhelmed their whole system and were unable to be integrated.
This would have had an impact on both of their brains (the one in their head and the one in their gut) and nervous system; their brain chemistry would have been disrupted and their nervous system would have been weighed down. Until they deal with the trauma that is inside them, they won't be able to actually move on from what happened.
Number Two
Another thing that may be behind how they experience their life is a diet that lacks the right nutrients. Their body is then going to be deficient in a number of things, and they could have a body that is loaded with toxins.
Until they start to eat the right foods, to take the right vitamins and minerals, and to cleanse their body, they won't be able to shift what is taking place. This is not to say that they are not carrying trauma, though, as trauma could play a part in what is going on.
For Example
Through carrying trauma, it can stop their body from being able to utilise what they are consuming. Just as someone can see everyone as a threat when they are in survival mode, their body can see all food as a threat if they are in survival mode.
Also, through spending so much time feeling overwhelmed, it might not be possible for their body to keep up with their stress levels. The outcome of this is that their hormone levels can be out of balance and their health can suffer.
Awareness
If one has anxiety problems due to where they live, what they do and/or who they spend their time with, it could still be linked to trauma. What they experienced may have destroyed their self-worth, sense of trust and sense of safety, thereby causing them to put up with things that don't serve them.
And if it is due to the fact that they spend a lot of time on social media and/or consuming the mainstream media, they will need to take a step back and to reflect on whether or not living in this way is serving them. They could look into if there is anything missing in their life and/or why they are drawn to the mainstream media's negativity and fear-mongering.
Ultimately, if someone is in a bad way, it will be vital for them to reach out for support. This could be a therapist or a healer, or it could be from a dietician; what matters is that they do something.

You Always Get What You Believe You Deserve

Self-Worth Issues Are Rooted In Our Childhood
I'd like you to reflect on the following questions before you read the rest of this article: What do you believe you deserve in life? Do you have issues around receiving? Do you find it difficult to get what you want because of the obstacles that get in the way? Do you struggle to fill your needs, whether it be via: a relationship, career goals, finances or otherwise? Yes, there are many questions to consider and I invite you to journal your answers after you finish reading. It may be difficult to acknowledge, however we always get what we believe we deserve. Allow me to unpack this further to explain what I mean. If we have self-worth issues embedded in our childhood, we will settle for less and believe it is all we are capable of receiving.
For example, when I was young, my father remarked that I would never amount to anything because I couldn't do the smallest tasks properly. Although I didn't digest the significance of its meaning, it was repeated often enough and became entrenched in my psyche. Like many others, I developed self-esteem issues related to deserving because of this belief. Have you experienced something similar when growing up? It wasn't until I used self-enquiry to heal the limiting beliefs, that I understood that they were formed during my upbringing.
It wasn't only my father's fault because I played a part in co-creating the experience, insofar as I accepted the messages communicated to me. In contrast, my mother was a kind, loving and compassionate woman who constantly nurtured me and my siblings through positive reinforcement. So why did I absorbed my father's criticism and not my mother's positive encouragement? Psychologists say our minds are more alert to negativity, known as a negativity bias which is hard-wired into our DNA. I'm not alone in encountering these childhood experiences. I have coached hundreds of people over the years who experienced similar events, whether through a parent, a teacher, a sporting coach or loved one. Each of them adopted the negative stimuli that undermined their self-esteem.
You Must Believe You Are Deserving
So how do we overcome our childhood wounds to become better receivers? I believe it lies in self-enquiry, to better understand ourselves. For some, it may require working with a trained therapist to explore their childhood traumas. Either way, we must learn to navigate and heal our emotional wounds so we can move forward. How does this sound to you? Can you see how life isn't conspiring against you? Life wants to give you all the riches you deserve. But first you must overcome the impediments that stand in the way of receiving them. There's no point bemoaning your current situation while wanting more when underneath it, you feel unworthy of receiving it.
To receive more, we must believe we are deserving of having more. It requires rewriting our childhood script and seeing it through the eyes of compassion and love, even towards our wrongdoer. I'm not condoning acts of abuse of any kind but inviting you to forgive yourself and those who contributed to your pain. This is the essence of what the clinical neuropsychologist, Dr. Mario Martinez captures in his book The MindBody Code: How to Change the Beliefs that Limit Your Health, Longevity, and Success: "One of the most important lessons is that forgiveness is a liberation from the personal enslavement you construct when a misdeed is perpetrated against you. Rather than forgiving the perpetrator or minimizing the intensity of the misdeed, you recover the empowerment and self-worthiness you thought had been taken from you."
A realisation I experienced in the last decade was that my father's role in my life was purposeful from a greater perspective because he helped me realise my self-worth. Had I not experienced those events, I may not have valued myself to the degree I do now. My emotional wounds helped me discover my true self-worth. I'm not suggesting this is the only aspect holding us back from receiving goodness, since there may be other childhood wounds interwoven throughout our experiences. What I know is: When we remove the fragmented stories of our undeservedness, we clear the runway for our life to soar. I know people who worked hard to heal their childhood wounds and remain stuck in their pain and suffering.
We must trust there is no deadline for our healing and transformation. You might call it a gradual awakening. Whatever the case, it entails stripping back that which is not conducive to a life of peace and joy. We must believe we are deserving of living a rich and abundant life. This doesn't mean we will not encounter pain or suffering. It means, when we make peace with our childhood wounds, they no longer hold us captive. With this in mind, I'd like you to open your diary and journal your answers to the questions at the beginning of the article. Take your time and sit with your thoughts to get a sense of what is holding you back from receiving more. Ultimately, if we believe we deserve more, we must change our relationship to attract what is in alignment with our greater self.
