The Mental Growth Spurt
I've noticed a theme in the last few months. Nothing fits.
I'm talking: clothes, shoes, positions, ideas, reactions, beliefs, relationships and more, have become ill-fitting.
Have you ever felt this way? Like you've outgrown many things in your life?
Since you've begun your journey to Wholeness and Self-Awareness, you may notice that your newly unclouded mind is not so easily accepting things that no longer serve you.
- What you once believed in with all your might, you've begun to question.
- The people you had a great time with, are no longer in alignment with your needs.
- The job you once hoped you'd get, has become a main source of stress.
- And that relationship you thought you'd die without, no longer keeps your interest.
If any of those things seem close to the truth for you, YOU ARE OUTGROWING THIS STAGE OF LIFE. Trying to keep things as they are now is like putting on your once roomy jeans that now fit more like leggings and laying on the bed sucking in your stomach for dear life to force the button through the hole. Sure, you've got them on and probably look amazing on the outside. But inside, you're cutting off your circulation praying for the end of the day where you can finally get out of them and feel your legs again.
A few things to consider:
- Don't force things to fit into your life when all signs point to - You've outgrown it.
- As inconvenient as it may seem to find new jeans to fit in, more positive people to be around, new positions to search for, and getting to know the new you - it's worth it.
- You've been asking for change, and so it is. A part of that desire being fulfilled and those prayers being answered is that you now allow the change to happen.
- There's a huge requirement to Let Go, just as the trees in Autumn are unafraid when their leaves begin to fall. You too can trust that things you needed before, are no longer necessary for what you will do and be in this next season.
Be grateful for the things you've outgrown because they are indicators of how much you are growing

Thoughts Do Come True
I have heard over and over so many years to govern what you think, or be in control of your thoughts. What you think about comes about, or What you focus on grows. I have been to seminar after seminar and everyone always talks about the importance of your thoughts, staying positive... Blah, Blah, Blah. I just did not get it or understand what our thoughts had to do with anything Until I was introduced to the Jack Rabbit factor by Leslie Householder. I started studying her work more intensely and as I was going through the mindset mastery course, I finally started to understand why it is so important to manage our thoughts and emotions. We were given the assignment to experiment on and it is through this process that I had some AHA moments and it all started to make sense. Following is of the experiences that I had regarding our thoughts and how what we think about really does come about.
Today as I was studying, my doorbell rang, and as I answered it, it was my neighbor's husband. He was frantic and asked me if I would like their fridge/freezer, which was only 6 months old. WHAT!!!! You see they are moving, and all of their household goods were already packed and shipped out. Our housing development told them they had to pay for a new refrigerator because their kids had dropped something and it put a very small ding in the bottom of the fridge the night before their move out inspection. So, rather than leave the fridge for housing to keep after they where forced to pay for it, he offered it to us.
"... the crazy part is literally a couple days ago, I had a thought that it would be really nice to have an extra fridge so I could have space to make meals and store for the week, and here I am now with an extra fridge. I am still in shock over it."
I had no intention of going out and buying a new fridge I literally just had a passing thought about it and how nice it would be. I did not sit and stew over it or worry about how I would get one. I just one, had a thought about getting a fridge, two, had a nice feeling about how wonderful it would be to have one, three, I had a clear reason as to why I wanted one and four, I went about my day without another thought about it. A couple days later there it was.
I had two "Aha" moments from this experience the first was that usually when I want something I sit and stew and worry over how I am going to make that happen or I sit and doubt myself on the possibility that it could happen then or I talk myself out of it. Do you see the difference? In acquiring the fridge, I had none of these conflicts I just felt good about having one. The second "Aha" was that I had a clear reason for wanting the fridge there was a purpose for it. I am finding that when I am clear about what I want it is easier to visualize it and have good positive feelings toward whatever it is I am trying to do or acquire.

Reading Benefits
Reading is not only informative and entertaining but extremely educational. Much of the things we learn are "absorbed" through our subconscious mind. It "registers" information by constant reading like proper word usage, correct spelling, and correct punctuation while the reading matter entertains us, and we are not much "aware" of our lessons learned! But we begin to wonder when we write ourselves, where our certainty about the right spelling of a word, the insertion of a comma and the usage of a word originates.
Our subconscious mind "has registered" most of these things without much of our "conscious awareness" and instructs our "conscious mind" of correct applications here and there which otherwise we did not learn, but are suddenly aware of, quite often to the point of even understanding the grammatical or only logical reasons for it being so!
And look at our reading matter! It not only entertains but imprints or informs us of the subject we wanted to know. Books read in proper order and sequence can make up quite knowledgeable on specific topics! We may not become lecturers or experts, but we can call ourselves reasonably educated.
Let's not forget all enlightenment and comprehending of new and "improved" ways based on "prior knowledge" faithfully written down and recorded as things were at the time. Thus bringing about that our latest findings and improvements are "built up" "brick by brick" into the "proud edifices" of knowledge we have today.
Likewise, can every single person improve or add to their knowledge of whatever subject they wish! Piece by piece of information added together through one book or more and became quite knowledgeable.
Reading is great news! The best there is in improving one's state of mind, educational limitations and one's general awareness. It gives one more topic to talk about then the experiences of one's daily routine.
For instance acquiring another language such as English, reading comic books and children's books because it is in a more simplified English. Repetition over a period of months made foreigners more confident to attend night classes to further their education in reading, writing and speaking.
Reading does benefit the human being who has no knowledge, accessing a computer to search for information according to their interests. Audio books are available to a person who does not know how to read and they can use their imagination, while hearing the story being told.

Mindfulness and Meditation
WHAT EXACTLY IS MINDFULNESS?
Mindfulness is not just a way of thinking about others and their state of mind, but it can also be used a form of meditation. Using Mindfulness Meditation allows you to focus on the moment, becoming aware of your senses and what you are feeling right then and there. When you are able to focus just on that particular moment, there is no need to try to interpret things or make judgments about how you feel.

Using Mindfulness Meditation allows you to focus on the moment, becoming aware of your senses and what you are feeling right then and there. When you are able to focus just on that particular moment, there is no need to try to interpret things or make judgments about how you feel.
You are simply present.
If you have ever studied Eckhart Tolle or other spiritual teachers, you realize that the present moment is all that actually exists. The past no longer exists, and the future has not yet come. So focusing, being mindful, of the moment, can help you relax and eliminate stress.
Think about all the time we spend planning for, or worrying about the future, thinking negative thoughts about the past, worrying about all the things we need to do - pick up the kids from school, make dinner tonight, pay the bills, etc. All those things are draining and can even be exhausting. When you are able to be mindful, you are able to put those things away, and focus your attention on the present moment, which reduces your stress and anxiety. Mindfulness meditation can be very powerful!
WHY SHOULD I MEDITATE?
For years, spiritual teachers and their students have been practicing meditation, and espousing its benefits. Now, thanks to advances in modern science and medicine, there are actually many clinical trials that scientifically back up these claims. It is amazing that for hundreds of years people have known that meditation works, but there is always a certain percentage of the population that needs to know how and why before they will believe it.

It is amazing that for hundreds of years people have known that meditation works, but there is always a certain percentage of the population that needs to know how and why before they will believe it.
There are so many studies now that provide empirical data as to the how and why of meditation, and its effects on the body and brain. Those studies are so diverse that they need to be in a separate article on their own. But suffice to say that the overall evidence of these studies show that meditation is effective for reducing stress, anxiety, pain, depression, and even a host of "medical" conditions and disease.
WHEN AND HOW OFTEN SHOULD I MEDITATE?
There is probably no such thing as too much meditation, especially if you are struggling with any of the issues previously mentioned. Studies have shown that there are certain times of day when meditation may be more effective than others. Those times are when the brain is emitting certain waves that enable it to be more receptive to suggestion and meditation. Books have been written on that topic alone, but for our purposes, for most people that time is before you go to bed, or right when you wake up in the morning. During those times your brain is emitting the proper waves and producing the proper chemical to allow the mist benefits from meditation. But as Dr. Joe Dispenza says, "There is no such thing as a bad meditation."

A Success Formula
As a world athlete I have been asked how I did it. In a nutshell I worked at it. I am not any more talented than any one of the people I coach; I just had the ability to focus my attention for longer periods of time. This comes in real handy when training and being able to stick with a program.
I do have a curious nature and an inquiring mind which led me to wonder just how good I could get at my sport. Turns out that by using The Formula For Success in the book "Quantum Rules" and paddling... a lot... I did get good enough!
The first things I did was create a strong vision of my future self in a reality I was willing to work towards. I then set goals and worked the formula in a steadfast process. Today I share this process and MY understanding of how we use energy to reach our goals.
In Quantum physics there is the idea of many future realities one can choose. All these realities exist but the ones that get and keep our attention are the ones we bring into our focus. When we understand this we have the ability to direct our thoughts to create our reality and our future selves existing in this reality. Sounds easy enough, right? But why is it that so many of us struggle with it? For me personally, it was when I understood the idea of quantum realities being a flow of my mental, physical, emotional and spiritual energy capacities that I was able to discipline and direct my own energy.
When energy is scattered it has no flow pattern and without a flow it does not have the momentum required to create a strong current, or flow. The goal is to organize, coordinate and direct energy to create a strong current and flow pattern. It's easy to be busy and have tons of energy but it is when we use energy wisely that we get specific intended results.
If we take the example of our thoughts we can see how this can relate to our ability to bring about the reality we desire. It is the choosing of thoughts that gets our attention. We know thoughts create, but it's when we know how they create we can become masters of intention! For example; if we choose our thoughts we are organizing them.
When we can coordinate these thoughts we create focus, and, focus and attention become a clear intention. Intention is a stronger currency of energy that just focus or attention on their own. This can be somewhat related to what Wayne Dyer referred to in his book "The Power of Intention".
Now, if we can direct our intention towards a specific outcome or goal, it becomes a pattern of flow that carries the energy of our minds into our future reality. We've all experienced this energy flow at times when we say, "go with the flow" or "It was electrifying" or "I was in the moment". It's that feeling when energy lines up and we are swept away in it. It is an awesome experience of being connected with something bigger than ourselves and feeling at one in it and with it.
I have heard many athletes describe this experience as "being in the zone". I myself have been on a dragon boat where all bodies are moving together in complete synchronicity making the boat feel like it's gliding on top of the water. These moments feel out of body as our minds direct our movements with precision and accuracy making it almost effortless. It's magical, addictive and we all strive for it.
So how do we get it and how do we keep it? We work at it. Another component in The Formula For Success is hard work. It takes effort, practice and continued persistence to train the thoughts of the mind to move in this organized and coordinated path towards our goals. It is not rocket science but understanding the science of energy flow patterns may give you the key to managing your mindset and create the reality of your future self!
In closing, I hope I didn't offend the scientists of quantum physics and forgive me I did not relay these ideas accurately. It is my hope to offer some clarity for us regular folks who share the love of science and continue to do our best to use it in our mundane existence.

5 Best Way to Memorize Things While You Study
Oh, we remember how hectic finals week were! Whether you are in high school or even nearing the final stages of your college career, most would agree that any kind of exam will rattle the nerves of the most confident and prepared student.
Among the worst thing that some students will do is prepare themselves for a multiple choice test when they should be studying for an essay exam. By knowing and studying the format of an exam can be really key in getting yourself ready for a test.
Likewise, there are many unique ways to memorize material while you study! Following some couple of easy tips could make test going a little simpler as well as yours make your life less upsetting.
Before we start, our biggest TIP for finals week is to STUDY A WEEK EARLY!
This prevents any stress, negative mentality, exhaustion, etc. from arising knowing that you have had adequate time to study.
1. Don't study things that you already know.
The BIGGEST mistake we've seen students do when they start studying for their final exam is reviewing course information they already know such as the topics covered in the previous exam 1 and 2. I hope that you can agree with me that there is a lot of information that needs to be covered in each of your courses... Don't waste your time and effort on going over the basic understandings or concepts that you should already have learned as common sense.
Sit down in a quiet area with your notes from class out and onto the table. Next highlight all the chapters that you don't understand. This is the initial step in studying... By this, you are able to focus and prioritize your time in the areas you need to review on.
Be sure to take a look at the textbook (the chapters test covers) or PowerPoint slides provided in your course. By doing so, you should be able to get a firm understanding of the sections you need to attack the most.
Be sure to take a look at the textbook (the chapters test covers) or PowerPoint slides provided in your course. By doing so, you should be able to get a firm understanding of the sections you need to attack the most.
At this time evaluate the material and compare it to the study guide or exam review provided to you by your professor while trying to cross out the subjects that aren't covered in the exam review.
The chapters that are not crossed out are what you need to center your time on. Reducing the quantity of information that should be studied within the week leading in the exam enables for additional time for you to be allocated to harder topics.
2. Stay Active and Eat.
Lying on the couch with your favorite sweats might appear like the best way to study... But it's not! Being too comfort can easily result in fatigue, napping, and daydreaming. It's best to try studying while you are on your feet, notes in hands, and review when you walk.
Search for a clear classroom and utilize the white board to your benefit. Visuals (concept maps, diagrams, and graphs) can revitalize research session, and give a little humor towards the learning process.
Make sure to eat! Eating carbohydrates enables the brain to think clearer, more focused, and non-fatigued. However, junk food may be inexpensive and may appear to save your time and money, they are doing nothing to help your brain retain information. Avoid processed and junk food such as fast food restaurants, salted snack foods, or even soda.
Pasta, sandwiches, milk, vegetables and fruit are wonderful sources of carbs and really should be incorporated within the diet while studying for an exam. Particularly the previous night and also in the morning. Never study hungry, it's impossible to focus when your stomach keeps growling at you! Then the mind focuses on wanting food and not on learning.
It's also vital that you get regular sleep. Being brain fatigued during an exam will exponentially reduce your exam performance, although it is okay and very common to pull an all-nighter, make sure you put boundaries or take 30 minute naps. Do not drink too much energizing drinks, the sugar can make your body crash the next day, limit yourself to two maximum drinks, if not any less.
It is also smart to get the body pumped and moving before your test. Take a brisk walk. Studies show that exercising allows the bloodstream to flow, allowing your body to build an adrenaline rush while also raising endorphin levels (in your body). It's also a common way to cope with anxiety and stress!
3. Know the Purpose:
Why am even studying this? Frequently we get a common symptom called "information overload" while studying... For that, is the reason why it usually gets hard to recall material afterwards. Be certain that you know the purpose on why you are studying, what's motivating you to keep going?
- To know a particular concept or idea
- To better yourself in a particular area
- To know why someone did a particular thing
- To reply to questions of the assigned academic studying
Keeping a purpose in your mind while you study can drastically help you concentrate on just the relevant information and remembering them better.
There's a virtually infinite quantity of reasons you may be studying something, make certain you understand what's yours.
4. Study Before Going to Sleep and Immediately After Getting Out Of Bed
The most ideal time to review or learn something is simply before going to sleep and immediately when you wake up. Throughout the day the mind is becomes overloaded with a lot of useless information and it continues to try and filter out information that's useful and worth remembering and what's not.
Be sure not to brush your teeth in the morning. Weird, but true studies show that when you brush your teeth, you're telling your brain that you're ready to go. By this, your brain starts to feel rushed when you try to study, but in the end, you're just skimming and trying to cram all the information all at once.
This makes it simpler that you forget things. Just imagine if you are asked about what did you do yesterday after a struggled and long day will you be able to reply? Yes, it's a lot like that. Before sleep and after getting out of bed your mind is refreshed also it secretes some chemicals that can help make your memory more concrete.
5. Recall What You've Learned:
Try to spend 15-minute revising on what you have learned. If you adopted some of these methods, you will be amazed at just how much you remember and will also improve your confidence in your capability to recall. This improves the whole process and you will put more effort into getting out of bed the next day and doing the work again.
Are you fed up with procrastinating and then panicking to get things done in the last minute? If so then you need to perform proper planning.
Proper planning and using correct methods will help you in planning your day effectively. We completely understand how stressing it is to be a college student and submit the assignments as well as prepare for exams but if you start studying from the beginning of the year you should face less problems.
Conclusion:
The most prepared student can seem to be stressed and overwhelmed with the potential outcomes of a test and there's always time to get a reality check. Getting a bad grade, blowing an exam, or failing in class is not good for the ego however it does happen. Do not think that this is the end of the world. Create a list from the possible outcomes and arrange for all of them.
Talk to your friends and family and explain the problem. They are great source of comfort and support. Getting a plan even when everything does not go exactly as you wish them is a great way to remove anxiety from the test taking situation.

Enhance Your Reading Speed By 4x In A Few Days
If you sense only the wise types can read quicker, then guess again. Anyone can enhance their reading speed without losing their comprehension skills. Being capable to read swifter means that you have extra information at your disposal. Possessing this ability will give you a determined advantage at any undertaking - particularly in school, at work opportunities, or even through enjoyment.
Some people have developed their reading abilities to the stage that they can read a complete eBook in one sitting. For regular individuals who yet need to read aloud or point at what they are reading to help keep track of where they are, this can prove to be incredibly frustrating. However, there's a solution to unlock your reading qualities so that they can dramatically enhance exponentially.
The secret is increasing the periphery of your vision and exercising your eye muscles.
Whenever you read, your eye leaps from one position on the page to another. This is referred to as a saccade. Some people can only read one word for each saccade. This forces them to carry out a number of saccades per line of text. Faster readers can absorb far more text per line; this results in fewer saccades per line of text. The fastest of them all can even swallow in an entire paragraph per glance.
Now if you believe this is just some freak ability, you will be in for a surprise. It is achievable to lower the number of saccades for every page and the speed of leaps between saccades.
To increase your potential to absorb words per saccade, you will need to perform some exercises to teach your mind to absorb a lot more. Some people are taught to read one word at a time. This is good for beginners. But as you grow older and get better at reading, you will need to be able to boost this through practice.
You do not have to concern yourself with comprehending at initially. Just seek to broaden the focus of your intellect as you go through groups of words. Try exercising this by scanning all through a text document with emphasis on speed and word recognition. Contrary to what some think, your mind is neither slow nor constrained to a selected number of words per minute. If you train your eyes to scan and recognize rapidly, your mind will follow suit.
After this style of exercise, you will want to test your comprehending next. You could use any book to accomplish this, or you could use a reading application particularly developed for this purpose.
There are numerous eye-movement workouts to help your eye muscles react more quickly and to help you read faster. These exercises consist of lateral eye movements and are good warm-ups for reading activities.
When practising your speed reading, bear in mind rest is crucial. Do not overstress your eyes, and give them a few minutes break after 20 minutes of reading. This will give your eyes a chance to refocus and rest a bit from reading movements.
Given appropriate reading training and procedures, one may be able to increase his or her reading pace by as much as four times upon the first few days of training. This is an exponential increase in the inflow of experience and information in person. Why don't you try a speed reading course today? It can certainly enhance your enjoyment and acquisition of knowledge, and will definitely point out you that reading is not just for the smart types.
